The City of Three Mists

Mae Hong Son is a province in the north of Thailand that is sheltered by several high mountains. It has a cool climate almost all year round. The province is bordered by Myanmar to the north and west.

Mae Hong Son is known for the long-necked Karen (or Pa Dong tribe) are hill-tribe people living deep within Myanmar and bordered with Thailand''s Ban Nam Phiang Din. Women of this tribe wear brass rings around their necks and limbs.

The city house a number of exquisite Burmese-style pagodas that blend perfectly into the capital. Nearby settlement of various mixed tribal groups adorn the hill sand valley.
